Torrents Update #12

June 2023 Update #12 “Ready to Road Trip”

This will be the twelfth update on my journey writing Torrents As Yet Unknown: Daring Whitewater Ventures into the World’s Great River Gorges.
I mentioned in my last post that, with Torrents now in the hands of the printers, marketers, publicists, and others at Steerforth and Penguin Random House, I’ve gone from years of micro-managing every phrase and punctuation mark to washing downstream with the current. Disconcerting and exhilarating at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised today to learn that, contrary to my expectations, the publishers at Steerforth have decided to bring out an audio book version of Torrents right away. I don’t have any details yet, but info should be available soon from Tantor media (tantor.com) and audiobook.com.
Hopefully this will be a natural fit with those long road trips to and from the rivers. Or climbs. Or any other adventures.
